Paul, called to the Bar by Inner Temple in 2016, having joined from a Legal 500 solicitors firm in Liverpool, where he had experience of family, criminal and housing law . Paul is one of our Pupil Supervisors and with significant experience of private and public law children matters. Paul’s work includes but is not limited to serious care work at all levels representing victims of domestic abuse and the children’s Guardian, as well as the court of protection. Paul has a strong representation for firm client advice, persuasive advocacy and thorough cross examination of witness, including professional experts.
With a background in Applied Biology, Paul has a solid foundation of knowledge to enable him to understand complex health and medical issues. Paul also has an exceptional reputation for client care, being able to adapt to the challenges and needs of people with complex mental health issues and those suffering from trauma. Paul is approachable, professional and persuasive inside and outside of court.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Paul was a qualified commercial pilot, having flown aircraft in Europe, Africa and USA. This background provides clients with a level of reassurance, to assist client’s through difficult and potentially traumatic litigation. And it also provides a platform for a calm unflappable presence to represent clients.
