Dowa is a Pupil Barrister at Rowchester Chambers, practising across immigration and asylum, family, public law, and civil and criminal matters. Prior to commencing pupillage, she regularly appeared before the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) representing the Secretary of State for the Home Department.

She brings a calm, pragmatic advocacy style, combining clear legal analysis with effective cross-examination and a proportionate approach to litigation. Dowa is particularly skilled at identifying the key issues in complex cases and presenting focused submissions grounded in policy and country guidance.

Immigration and Asylum

Dowa has experience across a broad range of immigration matters, including asylum and humanitarian protection claims, deportation and criminality appeals, and Article 8 family and private life cases. She is also instructed in family reunion, spouse and partner applications, and ADR applications.

She regularly engages with country guidance and CPINs and is comfortable dealing with late evidence and evolving country conditions.

Public Law and Advocacy

Through her immigration practice, Dowa has developed a strong grounding in public law principles, particularly procedural fairness, fresh claims, and human rights-based risk assessments. She appears regularly before Immigration Judges and adapts confidently to developments during hearings.

Dowa speaks fluent Arabic, enhancing her ability to engage with culturally sensitive issues and Arabic-speaking clients.
