Joan Campbell successfully completed her pupillage at 33 Park Place Chambers, Cardiff headed by Wyn Williams QC (as he then was) where she then embarked upon a mixed practice, combining Criminal Law, Civil Law and Family.

From 2002, she also developed an Immigration Law practice.

In 2009, Joan moved to Trent Chambers in Nottingham and specialised in Immigration Law.

In 2016, she became a much-valued member of Derwent Chambers, Derby.

Joan has broad experience of all areas of Family Law, covering divorce and nullity; ancillary relief; child support; orders under the Family Law Act 1996; domestic violence; harassment; and committals; plus both Private and Public Law applications under the Children Act 1989.

She is committed to the need for representation of publicly and privately funded clients alike.

Joan remains dedicated to providing a high quality, comprehensive service for those affected by all aspects of immigration, asylum and nationality law. She has regularly appeared before the First Tier and Upper Tier Immigration and Asylum Tribunals at venues across the country. She has experience of deportation appeals; bail applications; appeals regarding work permits, business, naturalisation and nationality issues; as well as visitor, student, family and settlement cases.
